A look through the lens: Malaria in Malawi

This year’s World Malaria Day casts a reflective eye over the recent deceleration in progress of the global push to eradicate the disease. After five years at work, we’re using this period of contemplation to point a focus at the continuing commitment of our Malaria Control Unit in Malawi.

In Malawi, malaria remains endemic, with an estimated 4 million cases each year. Since 2013, the United Purpose Malaria Control Unit (MCU) – in partnership with the Against Malaria Foundation – has worked at the forefront of Malawi’s efforts to combat the disease, working closely with government, local leaders and communities.
